Nepal!

One of our incredible parents, Ms. Navita is from Nepal!  She came in to teach us all kinds of neat things!  We got to color the flag from Nepal (which is shaped differently than most flags) and see pictures of Mount Everest and Annapurna!  We also got to have a Tika ceremony where we got a red dot on our foreheads, a flower on our heads, water in our hands, and a sweet in our mouths!  We also got a Nepali coin...a rupee!  We ended with a Nepali scarf dance!
Namaste!

Learning about food, clothes, shoes, and other things from Nepal!

Asia

In Asia, we went to India, Japan, and Nepal!  In India, we saw elephants do all sorts of neat things like play soccer, give themselves a bath, throw darts at balloons, pose for pictures and paint pictures!  In Japan, we got to take off our shoes, sit on the floor, and practice eating marshmallows withchopsticks! (I will post on Nepal separately!)

Europe!

We went to Europe this week and visited France, Greece, Scotland, and Denmark!
In Greece we made our own Greek Salad!

In France, we sketched the Eiffel Tower while eating some baguette!  We also learned the song, Aux Champs Elysees!

In Scotland, we went on a search for Nessie!
I didn't get any Denmark pictures but we went to find The Little Mermaid statue!  You will have to ask your kiddo what happened when we saw she was missing!

Fun Run Challenge

Our school is participating in a Fun Run through Boosterthon and it is AMAZING!  The kids are having a blast getting pledges for a run they will do next week!  And our class won a challenge last night by getting the most new pledges so we got to duct tape Cowabunga Callie to the flag poll!  The kids absolutely loved it!  And I loved all of their smiles!

South America!

Our first stop was South America!  We toured the Amazon rainforest and saw monkeys, lemurs, jaguars, ocelots, toucans, parrots, snakes, and frogs!  We kept our umbrellas up so we wouldn't get wet!  We also got to try plantain chips and chocolate from South America! Yum!

Suitcases and Passports

We are getting ready to go on a trip around the world in kindergarten!  We will take 2 weeks and visit all 7 continents in our imaginations!  We are excited for what we will see in each place!  We worked really hard on getting our passports and suitcases ready for this trip!  We also have our plane tickets and we know our seat assignments!
