Peanut Butter

We have been learning about George Washington Carver all week!  The kids were amazed to think of a time when people didn't eat peanuts and peanut butter.  To celebrate all that we learned about him, we made our own peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter today.  It was delicious!

DBOX championship

DBOX is a wonderful math manipulative that we use in class to encourage problem solving, special awareness, motor skills, and learning the ability to look at things from different perspectives.  We have been using DBOX a lot and the kids have gotten so good at it.  We decided to have a DBOX championship complete with a bracket and a prize DBOX for the winners!!

The leprechaun!

A leprechaun trashed our room and sent us on a treasure hunt!  We found his pot of gold!

We decided to see when Skittles says, "Taste the rainbow", is that true or not true.  We decided it was not true because they do not have all of the colors of the rainbow.  They are missing blue!

We set traps to try to catch a leprechaun!

The leprechaun was not trapped but he sure did make a mess!

Dr. Seuss day!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday today!  We read The Cat in the Hat and The Lorax, we made our own hats and necklaces, we made a cat out of "big numbers" and made our own hat treats!  It was a fun day celebrating a great author!
