Leprechaun Traps

In preparation for St. Patrick's day, we made leprechaun traps!  We are hoping to trap a leprechaun so he can give us his pot of gold! The kids had about 1,000,000 questions about leprechauns so we left it at: leprechauns are unpredictable so we don't know what will happen tomorrow!

Magnets

We've been scientists this week discovering all kind of wonderful things about magnets.  It was really fun to have them attract and repel.  The kids loved feeling the invisible force field.  We had so much fun learning about them this week that after St. Patrick's Day, we will continue the fun next week too!

A beautiful day!

After 3 days of winds so strong that we had to have indoor recess so we didn't get blown over, we finally had a beautiful day!  It was so nice that we did our centers outside!  We all had a lot of fun doing math and writing and reading group in the sunshine!

Wright Brothers

We had fun learning about the Wright Brothers this week!  We then got to use teamwork, perseverance, and wonder just like Orville and Wilbur to make our own airplanes...paper airplanes! We had a great time changing them for each round to see if we could get them to fly farther and longer.  Then we got to go outside and see how far the first airplane flew!  We also got to see if we could run faster than the first flight (yes!!)

Dr. Seuss' birthday!

We got to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday today but making our own Cat in the Hat hats, making Cat in the Hat kabobs, trying green eggs, and other fun activities!  What a great day celebrating a great author!
