Peanut Butter time!

While we were learning about the "Plant Doctor", George Washington Carver, we got to make peanut butter since he invented it!  It was so easy (you just put peanuts in a food processor!) and so yummy!  We also made chocolate peanut butter using 2 cups of peanuts and half a cup of chocolate chips.  I'm not sure if everyone had more fun making it or eating it!

Spirit week- superheroes!

Love these girls!!  They will all rule the world one day!

Cooking club- fruit and veggie pinwheels!

Thank you Mrs. Julie and Mimi (Mary) for a great cooking club today!  We made fruit pinwheels and they were a big hit!  We also made veggie pinwheels and lots of kids gobbled them right up!  I was super impressed!  The kids did a great job chopping, smearing, rolling, and eating!

Spirit week- sports day!

I thought I would surprise the kids- and the school- by not wearing SAINTS stuff on sports day.  Instead I chose old school Denver Nuggets.  It did not go over well!  The kids- and whole school- were very confused and disappointed by my choice!  Luckily we were able to get past it and have a great day!

Spirit week- moustache day!

It's the week before Spring Break which means spirit week!  Today we got to wear moustaches, crazy socks, and boots!  The kids had fun drawing moustaches on one another or making one out of paper and a straw (so clever!!)  We all acted very fancy with our moustaches!

Recess fun!

The highlight of our recess today was getting to see a dump truck come and dump dirt in the backyard of a house by our playground!  The kids all cheered through the whole process and the driver even gave them a little honk!

Happy Spring!

We had a GREAT spring party today!  The kids had so much fun hunting for eggs, playing with the Easter bunny, taking pictures in our photo booth, making a bunny frame, playing balloon and egg games, and eating yummy foods!  Thank you to everyone for making this day so much fun!
