To learn about Thomas Jefferson and the Declaration of Independence, we got to use quills (thanks Dad!) and sign our own Declarations! We then colored them yellow and crumpled them up to make them look old!

MobyMax challenge
The first MobyMax challenge of 2017 was to do 100 minutes in a month. Our class did amazing and had 13 kids reach that goal! They got an ice cream sundae as a reward! Next up for February...500 correct answers to earn a free dress day!
Indoor recess fun!
This week we had a day that was just too cold to go outside. After dancing, playing games, moving around the class, and doing some activities, we still needed something to calm us a bit to get ready for another chunk of our day! Enter in dry erase markers on our desks! The kids had a blast drawing on their desks! We'll definitely do this again!
Spirit Week
We all know that I love to dress up so it was fun to have a week that the kids got to dress up too! We had PJ and stuffed animal day, Sports day, Western Day, Throwback Thursday, and a dress of choice day! It was a blast!

Recess Fun!
We have been loving the weather this week! Sunny and warm but with snow still on the ground! It has made recess time our favorite part of the day!

Today we made a diversity cake in cooking club! We combined all kinds of different ingredients and all different colors to come together to make a delicious cake! Thank you Mrs. Wheaton for that great lesson and tasty treat!
