Cooking Club- ice cream
We made ice cream in a bag today for cooking club with Mrs. Jayme and Mr. Rich! It was so fun and SOOOO cold! It turned out great and we loved eating it with coconut and sprinkles after the races!
Race day!
Who is the fastest in the class! We had a race day to see! We had a bracket that put two kids up against each other until 1 came out as the fastest in both the boy category, girls category, and whole class category! We have some fast kids!! Sadly I didn't get any pictures of the event, only the closing ceremonies!
Connor and Jasper tied as the fastest boy! Ava and Addy tied as the fastest girl! Then when all 4 of them raced, Connor came out ahead as the fastest kid in our class!

A surprise party!
The kids planned a surprise birthday party for our wonderful room mom, Mrs. Jayme! They had a banner committee, a ceiling decoration committee, and a door decoration committee. We also had decision makers decide how we would surprise her (jump out from behind the desks) and what we would throw (confetti)! She was so surprised!

Butterflies!!
We have had quite the learning experience with our butterflies this year. We got baby caterpillars and watched them eat and eat and grow and grow. Once they formed their chrysalises we moved them to their net an awaited the day when they would emerge! At one point though, they got knocked over and 3 of the 5 chrysalises fell off. Thanks to Ms. Stahly, we were able to talk to the experts at the Butterfly Pavilion to come up with a plan that could maybe save them. And it worked! We have 4 healthy butterflies. Sadly one did not make it but we learned that we could bury it in the soil and it would provide important nutrients to the ground! We also got to Facetime the scientists at the Butterfly Pavilion today and ask questions that we had about butterflies! It was so fun!
